A GUARANTEE TO GLADDEN THE HEART

Since so many of the "psychics" are bitching about the difficulty of collecting
the Pigasus Prize (now at $740,000+) should they ever win it, the decision has
been made to simplify this arduous process. Upon a psychic winning the prize --
which should be so very easy to do -- rather than calling in all the individual
pledges from all over the world -- varying from $1000 to $90,000, the happy
winner only has to contact The James Randi Educational Foundation, which will
immediately pay over a check for the full amount.

In passing, I note that Vaughan, who failed to win the prize by psychically
ascertaining a randomly-chosen word, is alibi-ing that the word he chose was
actually one used in another test, the implication being that I used that word
in another test. Not so. I have only used a word once before in such a test
(most performers prefer a drawing, photo, or actual object) and that word was
"black." I'm sure that somewhere in this wide world, someone spoke, read, or
wrote the word "tuition," and that's what Vaughan divined. Bad luck!

By the way, do you want to try again? There are lots of words left....

James Randi
